Trails and Vistas performances are the only guided art hikes of their kind throughout the state. Thirty talented artists and sixty volunteers collaborate to present the signature art hikes. Artists range from world musicians and dancers to storytellers and visual artists. Chose from one of the Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning art hikes and embark on a two and a half hour guided adventure like no other. Did you know the Tour has sold out three years in a row?
That's right! In 2009 we launched with space for 70 and we were sold out almost three weeks out. We got daring and expanded to two nights, a Thursday and Friday, the second year and once again, sold out. We offered more tours each evening in 2011 and sold more than 300 tickets (plus a wait list of almost 60).

This year we're offering 11 tours on Oct. 18 and 11 on Oct. 19...you'll want to score your tickets early. Tickets will go on sale Friday, September 7.

Today we are giving a big round of thanks to the Truckee Donner Chamber of Commerce. Supporting Truckee's unique historical attributes and sharing the stories of yesteryear with residents and visitors keeps Truckee such a special place for generations to enjoy.

Welcome 2012 haunts!

We are so excited to announce this year’s historic gems including our favorite watering holes and haunts in Truckee! As you may have seen, we’ll be kicking off both evenings with a party at Moody’s Bistro Bar & Beats and dare you to join us as we embark on a journey like no other in downtown Truckee.

NEW featured haunts for the 2012 tour include the downtown Mountain Home Center , MOBO Law, Bespoke, Coffee Bar and Scraps Dog Bakery . And, we will return to The Pour House and the Old Jail Museum - absolute favorite haunts rated by past attendees.

We promise never before told tales including the lingering characters left by Wells, Fargo & Co.’s Haunted Express Train Car #5. Yes, you will experience the most gory, frightening and amusing tour yet this October!

Expect original performances, lurking spirits, visits from the infamous Truckee Regulators and incredible songs by the Barbershop Quartet. And, the rumors are true - a libation or two may be featured when least expected. Indulge in a night to remember.

Get ready - we're stopping at a handful of new haunts wit rich historical significance and a ton of spooky fun on the 2012 tour!

Name this haunt
Hint: Wounds, traumas and surgeries galore.
This special haunt served as Truckee's hospital in the early 1900s. According to historians the hospital opened in 1907. All sorts of injuries, diseases and foul play brought people in. Not all made out it alive. The ghosts linger. The stories will be told, and this historic Truckee site will be sure to fright!
