We've been in the news! The 2012 Historical Haunted Tour is noted in today's Sacramento Bee, it's the cover story in The Weekly, has been featured in the Sierra Sun as well as the September issue of Moonshine Ink. And, just last Thursday, producer Christina Stoever-Young was interviewed on 101.5 Tahoe Truckee radio. We're absolutely thrilled that Tahoe TV will be capturing this year on video! Purchase your tickets and enjoy the spookalicious evening in historic Truckee this Thursday or Friday evening! The 4th annual Historical Haunted Tour is almost here. We can hardly wait to see you at Moody's next Thursday and Friday! The action begins at 5pm and everyone (even those without tickets to the event) are invited to join us. Rehearsals, colorful costumes and worthwhile raffle prizes have been keeping us busy. We could not put on such a fabulous fundraising event for Trails & Vistas and the Truckee Donner Historical Society without the knowledge and time offered by our gifted volunteers and generous sponsors. A big note of thanks to all of the Tour's talented docents, researchers and writers as well as the Tour's 2012 sponsors - KidZone Children's Museum, Mountain Home Center, Moody's Bistro Bar & Beats, Scraps Dog Bakery in Truckee, Spin Games, Squeeze In, Tahoe TV, Truckee Donner Chamber of Commerce, The Pour House and The Richardson House. If you didn't have a chance to buy a ticket in time, sign up for this year's wait list so you will be the first to know when tickets go on sale for the 2013 Historical Haunted Tour. The raffle prizes for our 2012 fundraiser that benefits Trails & Vistas and the Truckee Donner Historical Society offer delicious treats! There is a decadent chocolate selection from Dorinda's Chocolates, one of our favorite places to enjoy a treat on a fall day. In addition to "The Love is in the Chocolate" gift basket from Dorinda's Chocolates, the raffle includes Squeeze In Morning gift baskets, wine tasting for two at The Pour House and a $50 Burger Me! gift certificate. There are even delicious treats for your dog with the "Pampered Pooch" Gift Basket from Scraps! 100 percent of raffle ticket proceeds go to our nonprofit beneficiaries - all proceeds from the Tour support two incredible missions - arts in the environment and historic preservation. That’s a round up the culinary sweets for this year’s raffle. Stay tuned or check out the amazing additional prizes including lodging and experiences in Truckee, CA. No Historical Haunted Tour would be complete without time spent on Jibboom Street. That's right, we're talking about the red light district of many years ago. We'll be looking into nooks and crannies, daring to step into the alley and chances are high we'll find both tricks and treats. We'll be wowed at The Pour House, haunted in the Old Jail Museum and treated to something out of the ordinary at one of our very favorite eateries, CoffeeBar. What do we love most about the CoffeeBar? Let us count the ways this place delights. 1. Extraordinary coffee drinks and loose-leaf tea selection 2. Yummy bites when we want to indulge, nourish or both 3. And, most of all, an incredible staff. This is one of the very special places in town where customer service shines in every interaction we have with baristas, chefs and cashiers. Good people, friendly service and professionalism at a higher level are things to celebrate. We're so glad the CoffeeBar will be one of our 2012 haunts - thank you!
